South African Kevin Anderson has had his last twelve months marred by injury, and the former World No.5 suffered another setback last month.
Following a disappointing performance at the
New York Open in February, Anderson underwent a surgical procedure on his right knee. Injuries limited the South African to just five events last year, and he has seen his ranking drop to 123rd in the world.
Fortunately for the 33-year old, he seems to be ahead of schedule in his recovery. Anderson was recently given clearance by his doctors to resume practicing. Subsequently, the South African hit the practice court with his team on Saturday.
"Keeping my focus on getting stronger on court right now with my team during these uncertain times we’re having." Anderson said in a Twitter post. "Hope everyone stays safe."
Anderson seems eager to return to the court. However, his comeback date is uncertain as the ATP has
cancelled all events for the next six weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic that is currently sweeping the globe.
