Rafael Nadal could return at the 2024 Australian Open after successful surgery on his psoas yesterday ahead of his 37th birthday on Saturday.
Nadal underwent the vital surgery in a bid to return to tennis for one final year in 2024 with his previous treatments not going as planned.
The 14-time Roland Garros champion had to pull out of his beloved clay court season and set an earliest date of the Davis Cup Finals in September for his return.
But has since had surgery since his announcement with a five month turnaround time.
It remains to be seen though whether he will return to Australia or go full steam ahead into the clay next year and aim for one final hurrah on the courts of Paris but as per Jon Wertheim, his surgery went well and he has returned home to celebrate his birthday.
