Roger Federer attended the Oscars for a second time on Sunday as he and his wife Mirka dazzled on the red carpet with the Swiss tennis legend adorning a cream suit and suave sunglasses for the occasion.
Federer has been in San Francisco over the past week promoting the Laver Cup and in particular the Chase Center which will host the 2025 edition. He even made it to a Golden State Warriors game and showed that his talents extend from just the tennis court to the basketball court also.
This is the second appearance at the Oscars for Federer with the first coming back in 2016 when he took a tequila shot on the red carpet.
Quizzed by interviewers on the red carpet about why he was at the Oscars, he replied smoothly that he couldn't find a better way to spend his night while in the area than at the event. "I was invited, and usually I had many things to do around that date, so I told myself, why not spend the night at the Oscars with my wife and see the stars?" he said. Federer has decided more for these appearances than ones involving tennis since his retirement back in 2022, with the Swiss legend wanting to enjoy life after a multi-decade career and he is certainly doing that with the Oscars being case and point.
