Life moves on unstoppably, that cannot be changed. With it, the stars that once dominated tennis at the beginning of this century have been saying goodbye to the sport over the years. The latest of these has been Rafael Nadal, who retired after the Davis Cup Finals 2024.

Before Nadal, it was Andy Murray, who said goodbye to tennis after the Olympic Games in Paris. The same happened previously with Roger Federer, at the Laver Cup 2022, and with Serena Williams, considered the best player in the history of the WTA.

As usual, each has gone their own way with "retirement". Below, we review what each of the 4 names mentioned is currently focused on.

  • Roger Federer: currently, the Swiss is focused on embracing his traveling spirit. "I have my foundation, I'm a father, number one, and a husband, so I also want to spend a lot of time with them. But I will never stop traveling, I always want to be active, always ready to explore new things," Federer said.
  • Rafa Nadal: the Spaniard has always shown a voracious competitive hunger. Few sportsmen surpass Nadal in mentality. As was obvious, Rafa was going to look for a hobby centered on sport. He has always been passionate about golf, and now, after his retirement, he is deeply involved in that world.
  • Serena Williams: the youngest of the Williams sisters has always been passionate about everything to do with fashion. While Venus still insists on staying on the WTA circuit at the age of 44, Serena focuses on her beauty empire.
  • Andy Murray: of the 4, the one who is still most closely linked to tennis is the Briton. And in what way too. A few weeks ago it was confirmed that Murray had reached an agreement with Novak Djokovic to join his coaching staff at least until the end of the Australian Open 2025.
