Fans have taken to social media to praise
Coco Gauff's new kit for the upcoming
US Open, following her triumph in Cincinnati.
World No. 6 Gauff is fresh off a successful tournament at the
Cincinnati Open. The 19-year-old won the fifth
WTA title of her career after she defeated Karolina Muchova in the final 6-3, 6-4, becoming only the second American woman to win five titles as a teenager in this century after Serena Williams.
Gauff's victory at the Western & Southern Open also marked her first WTA 1000 title, and she will now aim for a deep run at the US Open next week.
Gauff unveils new kit for Grand Slam
Gauff has now unveiled her new kit for the last Grand Slam of the year at Flushing Meadows. The reveal was done via a photo session, the results of which were posted online.
In the photos, the American can be seen promoting the clothes and shoewear of her sponsor New Balance. Posing against the background of a tennis court, she showed off a striking bright yellow outfit along with red and yellow shoes.
This delighted tennis fans, who were quick to voice their admiration for the outfit.
Fans have positive reaction to kit
One Twitter user implied a correlation between Gauff's striking apparel and her power on the court.
"It seems that the better her kits get, the more powerful she becomes… the WTA is shaking. Nike is exasperated. Adidas is frantic. The USO is holding emergency meetings to prepare. The tennis world is on its knees," they wrote.
Meanwhile, others also complemented the kit and said it was a perfect outfit to win the Slam in.
"Have always liked Coco's NB [New Balance] kits, and she can make just about anything work well, but this kit is really stunning," one commented.
"US Open winning kit material," added another.
