The entry list has been confirmed for the United Cup, the successor to the Hopman Cup which will take place between Thursday 29 December - Sunday 8 January 2023 in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney.
It will be led by Team Greece who have top 10 forerunners in both the ATP and WTA in Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari. Iga Swiatek and Hubert Hurkacz similarly will lead Poland but it is third seeded USA with the strongest side on paper.
They will be led by Jessica Pegula and Taylor Fritz as well as Madison Keys and Frances Tiafoe. Rafael Nadal will play alongside Paula Badosa for Spain, while Matteo Berrettini will team with Martina Trevisan in the Italy line-up.
WTA Finals winner, Caroline Garcia will start her 2023 in the France side alongside Arthur Rinderknech. While Nick Kyrgios and Ajla Tomljanovic will anchor home hopes for Australia.
Other notable entries include Casper Ruud (Norway), Alexander Zverev (Germany), Belinda Bencic and Stan Wawrinka (Switzerland) and Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic).
Those hoping to see Emma Raducanu and Andy Murray will be disappointed with Cameron Norrie, Dan Evans and Harriet Dart the top Brits involved.
While Canada failed to enter a team due to Denis Shapovalov and Felix Auger-Aliassime not entering. This has in turn denied Bianca Andreescu, Leylah Fernandez and Genie Bouchard a potential chance of playing alongside the top ATP players in a tournament they would have been a favourite in.
The final two remaining countries (one ATP and one combined entry) will be admitted to the competition on Monday 21 November, based on the rankings published on this date, while the draw will be completed later this evening.
