The wildcards for the 2022 Roland Garros have been revealed, with Frenchmen Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gilles Simon leading the pack.
Tsonga announced his intention to retire from tennis after the French Open in May, so it comes as no surprise that the former World No.5 was granted a wildcard entry to the event. Additionally, compatriot Simon revealed he would be calling it a career at the end of the 2022 season, thus he was also given a wildcard to what would be his final appearance at the clay Grand Slam event.
Joining Tsonga and Simon on the ATP side are Frenchmen Lucas Pouille and Corentin Moutet, whereas Fiona Ferro, Chloe Paquet and Harmony Tan received wildcard entries on the WTA section of the event.
