Benoit Paire was known as The Rebel in the Ultimate Tennis Showdown and he certainly showed that with his showman antics including downing a pint mid match and winning the next point.
Paire was enjoying himself at the Grand Final in London. He was in a group with Andrey Rublev, Casper Ruud and Diego Schwartzman. First Rublev booked his semi-final spot on Friday, before Ruud bested Schwartzman on Saturday. Paire on the other hand struggled to gain a foothold and only came close against Diego Schwartzman in Sudden Death losing 17-11, 13-14, 10-21, 17-16, 4-5.
After that match, he lost to Ruud 12-17, 9-18, 10-16 and during his match against 'The Ice Man' he took a sip of beer from one of the spectators. Even wilder was Ruud served while he was drinking, but Paire still managed to chase it down and return. Showmanship at its finest.
