(VIDEO) "When your partner double faults on match point, there are consequences": Taylor Townsend and Jamie Murray celebrate win with push ups

Taylor Townsend and Jamie Murray sealed victory in the second round of the Wimbledon Mixed Doubles but actions had consequences it seemed.

After seeing off Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Jan Zielinski 7-6(2), 7-6(13), they did push-ups as a celebration.

But this was only due to Murray producing a double fault on match point in the second tie-break.

While it remained unpunished in terms of the context of the match, Murray still tasted a punishment post match.

"When your partner double faults on match point... there are consequences," wrote Townsend.

He explained the thought process behind it on their on court interview: "It was punishment for me to keep bloody serving in the net. I was like blowing it all of the time. She was like, ‘oh my God, we should do some press-ups.'"

"I didn’t really want to be playing a third set there but we did well to get through. Played five sets and four tiebreaks so happy to get through and I think tomorrow we’ll play mixed, we won’t play men’s tomorrow, still waiting for people to win and stuff. But happy days, yeah," he added.
