2021 Internazionali BNL d'Italia Rome WTA Draw with Barty, Halep, Williams, Andreescu, Sabalenka and Osaka

The 2021 Internazionali BNL d'Italia Rome will be held from May 10th - 16th as the brightest stars of the WTA Tour will gather in the Italian capital.

Simona Halep, Karolina Pliskova, Elina Svitolina and Serena Williams are all former champions in Rome and they will be all in the draw for the 2021 Internazionali BNL d'Italia. However, there will be more favorites as Ashleigh Barty and Aryna Sabalenka showed great form lately.

The top eight seeded players will have a BYE in the first round, and they will be also the biggest favorites to win the tournament. The projected quarterfinals include a matchup between Ashleigh Barty and Aryna Sabalenka who met also in the finals in Stuttgart and Madrid and Sofia Kenin against Elina Svitolina in the top half. In the bottom half, Simona Halep can possibly meet Bianca Andreescu while Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka is the last interesting projected quarterfinal matchup.

The players will have a difficult journey to the quarterfinals when the first-seeded Ashleigh Barty will kick off the tournament against Martina Trevisan or Yaroslava Shvedova. The second-seeded Naomi Osaka will face a very difficult second-round match as she will take on Jessica Pegula or Daria Kasatkina.

Some of the interesting first-round matches include Karolina Pliskova who will take on Venus Williams and Coco Gauff against Yulia Putintseva as the winners of these two matches will meet in the next round. Garbine Muguruza will play against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Iga Swiatek will meet Alison Riske.
