The draw has been confirmed ahead of the 2024 Bad Homburg Open which is the final stop off before Wimbledon which will take place between June 23-29, 2024 and is a top WTA 500 tournament.

The event held its inaugural edition in June 2021 after initially being postponed from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In September 2019, the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC) announced they would invest in new grass tennis tournaments before Wimbledon with one of the tournaments being Bad Homburg Open which had Angelique Kerber as an ambassador.

It has been raised in 2024 from WTA 250 to WTA 500 with Katerina Siniakova as the defending champion. In 2020 when it initially was set to be played, it was cancelled due to COVID-19. Since then Kerber won the inaugural edition defeating Siniakova 6-3, 6-2. Caroline Garcia defeated Bianca Andreescu in 2022 with a 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 win with the former mentioned Czech ace seeing off Lucia Bronzetti 6-2, 7-6 last year. With it being raised to a WTA 500, the field has also grown.

Maria Sakkari who is now coachless after splitting with David Witt will face Elisabetta Cocciaretto with the Greek being top seed. She could face Paula Badosa in the second round with Arantxa Rus the first opponent for the Spaniard. While also lurking in the same section is Mirra Andreeva.

The 17-year-old prodigy who didn't play Birmingham this week will face Dayana Yastremska. The winner faces Angelique Kerber or Diana Shnaider. Emma Navarro sits just under as third seed. She could face Peyton Stearns after a qualifier with the Rabat champion facing Yulia Putintseva. In the battle of the mothers, Elina Svitolina faces Caroline Wozniacki. The winner likely to face Veronika Kudermetova.

Victoria Azarenka is still in action in Berlin but will head to Bad Homburg to face Linda Noskova in the first round. While Bianca Andreescu again could face close friend Anna Kalinskaya. The Canadian suffered a birthday final loss and looked injured in Rosmalen but seems to be fine and will face Anna Blinkova in the first round. Kalinskaya faces Beatriz Haddad Maia.

While in the bottom section, Ekaterina Alexandrova is sixth seed and faces Nadia Podoroska. She could then play Donna Vekic. While second seed is Liudmila Samsonova and she faces Sara Sorribes Tormo. Defending champion Siniakova could yet loom in the second round.
