Eala is currently ranked 3rd on the junior list after reaching the Roland Garros semi-final last October, showing her rich talent at this level already at 13 and scoring the first professional victories in 2020. Working at Rafa Nadal Academy as one of the most prominent students, Eala shapes her game and works on various elements that would help her reach the top one day, especially if she avoids injuries and maintains her current desire for the sport.
Eala defeated Adithya Karunaratne 6-3, 6-4 in an hour and 36 minutes, scoring six breaks to advance into the maiden pro final. Setting the title clash with the Spaniard Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers, Alexandra stood strong in sets two and three to topple the rival 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 and celebrate the proudest moment of her career so far. Alexandra suffered five breaks in the opening set and raised her level to control the scoreboard and bring the victory home in grand style.
