"Are you serious?": Pavlyuchenkova asked if she will ask about Wimbledon wildcard after Roland Garros run

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova scored a big win over Elise Mertens at Roland Garros (French Open) on Sunday and she was asked whether she'll ask Wimbledon for a wild card.
Last year's Wimbledon edition banned all Russian and Belarusian athletes from the event but this year's edition will permit their participation. As a native Russian, Pavlyuchenkova will be permitted to play and she was asked whether she'll ask the event of a wild card due to her ranking to which simply burst out laughing.
She responded:
"Are you serious, after what happened last year? Actually, you're right, I'll ask and let you know at the next press conference. Fingers crossed.

- I agree 100% on axing the post-match Runner-up mandatory speech. There is so much wrong with that -- hanging time up to 20 minutes; cameras in your face as you wait on the bench to tell everyone how "amazing" they are, how "amazing" your opponent and his/her team are; pretend how happy it is to finish in Second Place; how much you "love the venue and atmosphere"; what restaurants & shops you visited and so. It's an unnecessary added and RIDICULOUS pressure..
- She can't hide the dropping of sponsors at this point. BTW: Nike reduced their $ponsor$hip last year (people have short memories). Bye, Bye Wilson!
