Australian tennis star
Daria Saville has turned to
Andy Murray for inspiration, as the WTA player recovers from a nursing injury that has put her out of action since September of last year.
Saville was forced to withdraw in her second round match against Japanese superstar Naomi Osaka, as she hurt her knee following a cross-court forehand. The Aussie star later revealed she had torn her ACL and would be out of action till sometime in 2023.
Nonetheless, the 29-year old has opted to take motivation from Murray after seeing the documentary 'Resurfacing.' The film tracks the British tennis star's devastating injury journey between 2017 and 2019, a time during which he chose to have hip replacement surgery before making a return to full action.
Taking to social media on Thursday, Saville stated she thought it would be best to rewatch the documentary while going through her rehab process.
"Going through my own injury and rehab thought I would rewatch @andy_murray #resurfacing," she tweeted.
