With
Roland Garros less than a week away, several players have already touched down in Paris with former semi-finalists
Victoria Azarenka and
Madison Keys among the first to begin their practice sessions.
Former World No.1 Azarenka enjoyed a brief hit on Court Philippe-Chatrier on Monday, as the 2013 Roland Garros semifinalist hoped to improve on the form that saw her reach the third round in Rome last week. The two-time Grand Slam champion reached the fourth round on Parisian clay 12 months ago and owns a 26-14 win-loss record at the tournament.
2018 semifinalist Keys also took to the iconic court for a hit on Monday, as she hopes to rediscover the form that saw her lift the title in Adelaide and reach the Australian Open semifinals earlier this year.
Australian Open runner-up
Danielle Collins had a two-hour slot reserved on the practice schedule for Court Simonne-Mathieu, while her compatriot
Taylor Fritz, who hasn't played since his Monte-Carlo quarter-final exit last month, was also on the schedule for a later afternoon session.
The second Grand Slam of the month runs from May 22-June 5, 2022.
