Barty, Sabalenka, Krejcikova qualify for season-ending WTA Finals

The race to the WTA Finals will be highly-contested this season, as Ashleigh Barty, Aryna Sabalenka and Barbora Krejcikova have clinched three of the eight qualification spots available.

World No.1 Ashleigh Barty leads the pack with 6411 points this season, which is enough to earn her a spot at the top of the table. The Australian has had an astounding 2021 season, winning five titles including the Wimbledon singles trophy.

Sabalenka has been consistent throughout the year, reaching a career high of World No.2 in addition to winning two titles and reaching the US Open semifinal.

Krejcikova has been the surprise of the season, stunning the world to capture her maiden Grand Slam title at the 2021 French Open and reaching a career high of World No.5.

With only five spots left before the WTA Finals commences on November 10 in Guadalajara, the likes of Karolina Pliskova, Iga Swiatek and Maria Sakkari will all vie for position as they attempt to secure qualification for the year-ending event.
