Bouchard shared on Instagram how she followed the coronation of King Charles
III.
In the
midst of the busy world of tennis, the Canadian tennis player followed the
event of the British monarchy alongside Charles III and his wife, Camilla
Parker Bowles. Bouchard shared in her Instagram stories that she was ready to
watch the transmission of the event.
"Ready
to watch," wrote Bouchard on a photo of a tea with lemon and cookies.
Unfortunately,
she had to miss the event due to her training, but she caught up during her
physiotherapy session. The Canadian tennis player shared a photo of the
television with the coronation broadcast and another image of the horses that
the Royal Canadian Mounted Police gifted to the British royal family.
Former
world No. 5, showed a good performance at the
Madrid Open, where she beat Sara
Sorribes Tormo and Elizabeth Mandlik in the qualifying rounds to reach the
first round. She had a comeback and defeated Ukrainian player Dayana
Yastremska. Bouchard was eliminated by Martina Trevisan in the second round,
but she climbed 52 spots in the rankings to reach world No. 233.
