Caroline Garcia moves into Quarter-Finals at Cleveland Open, set to face Zhu Lin

With a 2022 US Open semi-final to defend, Caroline Garcia will look to soften the potential blow with a run att the Cleveland Open and she has ticked off Quarter-Final.

Garcia who is top seed this week at Tennis in the Land Cleveland as it is also known saw off Peyton Stearns in a 7-6, 6-3 win and will now face Zhu Lin.

In a tournament that saw a myriad of withdrawals and cancellations, Garcia will hope to use that to her advantage this week. She won in just over an hour and a half.

Saving a set point in a poor opening set, she sealed it in just over an hour and breezed through the second set in just over half an hour.

In the same Quarter, it could be either Wang Xinyu or the winner of Ekaterina Alexandrova and Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the semi-finals.

Other Last 16 ties include Sloane Stephens - Mirra Andreeva, Tatjana Maria - Anhelina Kalinina and Leylah Fernandez - Clara Tauson with the latter taking place shortly in Cleveland.
