Charleston Chaos as Caroline Wozniacki gets lost with Daria Kasatkina en route to hotel

Former world number one Caroline Wozniacki and Russiaβs
tennis star Daria Kasatkina were involved in a hilarious exchange on social
media regarding their road journey in Charleston.
Both players are currently in the South Carolina city to take
part in the upcoming Charleston Open. The WTA 500 event will be organised from
April 1-07.
In a post on her official account on the social media platform Instagram,
Kasatkina wrote that her βdriver got lostβ as she was sitting in the back seat
of the car driven by Wozniacki.
In response to that, the former world number one wrote: βI
think I deserve 5 stars for getting you to the hotel safely AND a sightseeing
tour."
Interestingly, both players have won the Charleston Open
once in their respective careers. Wozniacki lifted the title in the 2011
edition when she defeated Russiaβs Elena Vesnina in the final in straight sets
with a score of 6-2, 6-3.
On the other hand, Kasatkina won the title in 2017 after defeating
Latviaβs Jelena Ostapenko in the final in straight sets with a score of 6-3,
6-1.
Tunisiaβs Ons Jabeur will
be defending her crown this year as she won the competition in 2023 after
defeating Switzerlandβs Belinda Bencic in the final in straight sets with a score
of 7-6, 6-4.

- First round loss as usual, plus she moves like a sloth. It is unbelievable that she actually went 3 rounds with someone. Women tennis needs to be abolished, because if they cannot find quality players or give younger players a chance at these wild cards, there is no use to have their side of the sport exist. It is getting more and more ridiculous. And unwatchable.

- I agree 100% on axing the post-match Runner-up mandatory speech. There is so much wrong with that -- hanging time up to 20 minutes; cameras in your face as you wait on the bench to tell everyone how "amazing" they are, how "amazing" your opponent and his/her team are; pretend how happy it is to finish in Second Place; how much you "love the venue and atmosphere"; what restaurants & shops you visited and so. It's an unnecessary added and RIDICULOUS pressure..
- She can't hide the dropping of sponsors at this point. BTW: Nike reduced their $ponsor$hip last year (people have short memories). Bye, Bye Wilson!
