Day 1 Results, Women's Australian Open Qualifying: Bouchard and Bogdan move past first round

The first day of Australian Open Qualifying in the Women's draw is complete with Ana Bogdan, the top seed making it through.
Bogdan defeated Australian wildcard Ivana Popovic 7-6, 6-4 hitting seven aces and 73 per cent of points on her first serve.
Eugenie Bouchard was looking to continue her good form as of late and defeated China's You Xiadodi in an epic which ended 4-6, 7-6, 6-1 in nearly three hours as the Canadian moved on.
Other seeds through include Francesca Di Lorenzo who beat Austria's Julia Grabher 6-3, 6-2. Ninth seed Ysaline Bonaventure defeated wild card Diane Parry 6-2, 7-5. Aliona Bolsova, number eight seed beat Pemra Ozgen 6-2, 6-3. Varvara Flink, seeded 16th defeated Oceane Dodin 7-6(3), 6-3 and 24th seed Wang Xiyu beat Richel Hogenkamp 6-3, 6-2.
