Stefanos Tsitsipas shared a heartfelt message for his girlfriend, Paula Badosa.
It has been nearly two months since the Greek tennis player and the Spanish woman started sharing photos and videos together, subsequently confirming their relationship. The couple has captured the attention of fans.
Taking to his Instagram account, under the handle 'Tsidosa,' the Greek star shared an emotional message dedicated to Paula Badosa:
“Distance means nothing when someone means everything," said Stefanos Tsitsipas.
“The truth is, I've never been very explicit about these things or exposed myself too much, but when you know, you really don't care,” he added.
There's no shame, it's like family. It's a bit like sharing moments with your family. It's exactly the same feeling," Tstitsipas said during an Instagram Q&A session.
The tennis couple has a tight schedule that often requires them to be apart due to their respective tournament commitments. Currently, Badosa is recovering from an injury and has not played since the Rome Open, where she suffered a defeat against Jelena Ostapenko with a score of 2-6, 6-4, 3-6.
Following the match, Badosa announced that she would not be participating in the French Open. While she had plans to return to Wimbledon and even compete in the mixed doubles alongside her boyfriend Tsitsipas, the former world No. 2 did not fully recover from her injury and decided to withdraw from the tournament.
On the other hand, Tsitsipas is set to return to action this week after his exit from Wimbledon in the fourth round. He faced a surprising defeat against Cristopher Eubanks, losing with a score of 3-6, 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
The Greek tennis star will make his debut on Wednesday at the ATP 250 Los Cabos Open in the second round. As the top seed, he received a bye in the first round.
The tournament features other prominent players like Cameron Norrie, Tommy Paul, Alex de Minaur, and Nicolas Jarry. In his first match, Tsitsipas will be facing the American John Isner, who successfully advanced through the first round.
