Emma Raducanu breaks strings on three racquets during practice in Guadalajara

Emma Raducanu arrived in Mexico to play at the Guadalajara tennis event in what will be her first event since the Australian Open.

The Brit was very eager to return to action but things have not been going too smoothly so far in Mexico for her. During one practice session, Raducanu broke strings on three different racquets and she shared the struggles on her Instagram page captioning the photo with:

"Lol is it the altitude or topspin. One session, three strings”.

The draw has paired the Briton up with Daria Saville from Australia. If Raducanu overcomes Saville, she will play either Lin Zhu or a qualifier in the second round. A rematch against Stephens could come next – the pair played in the first round of the Australian Open.
