Emma Raducanu will make her long awaited return to action in early 2024 as the former US Open champion will play the ASB Classic in Auckland. Despite having injuries affect her career since the Flushing Meadows stardom, she has remained one of the top players when it comes to endorsements and star appeal and graced the Tatler Hong Kong cover for January.
In what Raducanu hopes will be the look of her season to come, she stunned in a boss chic look with a black and white suit on the front cover as well as a white dress with a black and white jacket in the issue showing off a different side to the tennis star.
After not playing since April, she will be involved in Auckland over the next week with Australian Open qualifying to follow for now. She could yet get away with playing the pre-cursor to the Australian Open with only two withdrawals needed now.
She has mainly only been seen at fashion shows during her injury lay-off with brand deals with Dior and her rumoured boyfriend, Carlo Agostinelli accompanying her at Fashion Weeks and other Galas as she has not shirked from commitments despite being off-court.
In the issue, Raducanu spoke about wanting to inspire the next generation to not only play tennis but also focus on their education.
"I’m happy if I can inspire a young boy or girl to pick up a racket. But I think it’s just as important to keep your education going. If anything, it’s one thing I want to stand for.”
"I think doing your education properly helps so much, because it develops you as a person & benefits you in all walks of life. Tennis is a big part of my life, but there’s a lot more to it than just playing. Besides, once you hit 35, if you’ve only played tennis, it’s very difficult to get into something brand new.”
