The summer of grass court tennis just got more exciting as some highly talented WTA stars have been added to the HSBC Queen's Club Championships in June.
Set to run from June 9-15, 2025, the WTA 500 event will feature several athletes competing in one of the few grass court tournaments this season. With Wimbledon only a few weeks after the event, players will have to master the tricky surface after making the quick transition from clay to grass.
British No.1 Katie Boulter will look to keep the trophy on home soil, the World No.24 has been announced as an entrant at the WTA 500 event. However, Boulter will not be alone in representing her native country, as compatriot Emma Raducanu has also been confirmed for the event. After dealing with several injuries over the past two years, the 2021 US Open champion is slowly making her comeback as she climbs up the WTA Rankings table.
Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka will be making an appearance at Queen's. The former World No.1 is not known for her affinity for grass, so the event should give her ample opportunity to prepare for Wimbledon. With the Queen's Club event making it's debut on the WTA tour this summer, Osaka and her colleagues will likely produce their best tennis in order to etch their names in the history books as the tournament's inaugural champion.
