Emma Raducanu trains in Indian Wells under LTA National coach Jeremy Bates

Emma Raducanu recently parted ways with her coach explaining she was looking for someone with more WTA experience.

The move made headlines on the WTA Tour with many criticizing it. However, it does seem logical as a media reported that her coach was not willing to travel around the world non-stop which would have complicated the issue. In the meantime, she arrived in Indian Wells and trained under the watchful eye of Jeremy Bates.

Bates is the LTA National Team coach and him watching Raducanu might not mean anything but it also might signal a possible future relationship. Bates has been working with another Brit Katie Boulter for a few years now and has seen her progress quite a bit under his wing.

British media have been reluctant to report any potential names for Raducanu as her new coach as there are simply not any new information. The teenager is focused on a good result at Indian Wells with the coaching search currently not a top priority.
