Coco Gauff will play back-to-back weeks in her return post US Open after entering into the Zhengzhou Open which will be played from October 9 as a wildcard.
Gauff will be involved at the China Open next week in Beijing playing her first tournament since winning the US Open and aiming to shift over her near perfect hard court season.
She won three titles in Washington, Cincinnati and at Flushing Meadows and has won 18/19 matches in a row, with a recent partnership with former Andre Agassi coach, Brad Gilbert paying dividends.
Joining a tough field for this WTA 500, it will be Elena Rybakina, Ons Jabeur, Marketa Vondrousova and Karolina Muchova as the main names joining her with the former also playing back-to-back after withdrawing from Tokyo after a fiasco regarding tournament byes.
"It’s been a huge summer for me and I’m excited to build on my US Open win and put in a really big finish to what’s been an amazing year," Gauff said. "We always love playing in front of the Chinese fans so I’m really looking forward to that."
