Another bumper day of action is set in the Women's Draw at the Australian Open with multiple fourth round games including the likes of Simona Halep and Garbine Muguruza.

Anett Kontaveit and Iga Swiatek start it all off though. Both players are playing well with the former potentially having the edge after a brilliant display to see off sixth seed Belinda Bencic 6-0, 6-1 who was one of the favourites coming into the tournament. It could be a game that is won easy or go all the way for either player.

Garbine Muguruza will take on Kiki Bertens in one of the games of the day. Especially after the former's exploits in the third round where she defeated Elina Svitolina in a stunning display as the Spaniard aims to reestablish herself after a few years in the doldrums.

She will have the opportunity to further that when she takes on the Dutchwoman who could be favourite going into the tie after not yet dropping a set but it will be the hardest match to pick out of the four and is one that could go either way on the day.

Angelique Kerber will also be in action, she takes on Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova who defeated the second seed Karolina Pliskova with a brilliant serve a real part of her game. It is a match that the German will go into as a favourite; but she may not have it all her own way with her Grand Slam pedigree potentially just getting her through.

Finally we get the high quality encounter between Simona Halep and Elise Mertens. The last match they had on a hard court saw the Belgian come out on top in three sets and it may well go the distance again but the Belgian has looked shaky at times especially against Cici Bellis in her last round so could end up on the losing end against the Wimbledon champion who has yet to drop a set this week.
