Simona Halep was dumped out of the
French Open by Chinese prodigy, Qinwen Zheng but all wasn't as it seemed for the former
Roland Garros winner.
Losing 2-6, 6-2, 6-1, she said post match during her press conference that she suffered a panic attack which derailed her and caused a momentum shift. Scary for the former World No.1 who said she is fine now but was overthinking at the time.
"That was just a panic attack. It doesn't happen that much. I couldn't focus anymore. Now it's behind me and I can smile again," said Halep as reported by
Tennis Majors.
"I will learn from this episode. It was overthinking. I was leading. There was no reason. But it happened. I have to accept it. It happens to everybody."
