Ons Jabeur will start her campaign at the WTA Finals on Monday in the same group as Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek and Marketa Vondrousova. Some players have refused to call out the lack of organisation with the stadium.
Others at the WTA Finals including Vondrousova, Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka have harshly criticised the organisation in particular for the lack of practice time as a result on the stadium court.
Jabeur went along the same lines during pre-tournament press, but was less damning praising the construction workers for putting up the stadium in a matter of days.
But also lamented the fact that she couldn't practice especially as a player herself who has had injury issues and so hasn't been on court for a little while. She ended off by saying she hopes it never happens again.
"I mean, obviously as a player, I wish that the stadium was ready couple of days before in order to have a better preparation and everything." Jabeur said.
"But, yeah, I don't want to take the effort that the construction team had done for the past six weeks, I guess. I know they done a lot of hard work. I want to thank them for that."
"I'm not very happy that this is the first day we hit on the stadium. This is such a big event. We should have been able to be ready and hit on the court. Yeah, hopefully this will never, ever, ever happen again. Like ever..." she added.
