Coco Gauff shares a video with all of the singles players at the WTA Finals. She wanted a little moment with all of them. 🥰
Coco Gauff will play at the WTA Finals in both singles and doubles and partners a fellow high flying singles star in the latter in Jessica Pegula both representing the US.
It is a country that in recent years has thrived on both sides of ATP and WTA and going into the WTA Finals, Gauff who of course won the US Open earlier this year is spearheading the charge alongside the likes of Pegula as well as Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Tommy Paul and Ben Shelton among others in the ATP ranks.
She said though that without throwing shade at the men, that she believes that the men and women are even in terms of how they are performing so well on both sides.
"The state of American tennis is outstanding. Not to shade the men, but it's actually even on both sides," Gauff said.
"I'm really, really happy with how both the men and women players are doing. Have a lot of players in the top 30 on both sides. That's just super exciting," she added.
She also went on to say that she is looking forward to partnering up with Pegula in the doubles and is happy to be there with a friend as well as a partner on the court.
"Yeah, we did it last year. We both had great seasons in singles and doubles this year. For us to qualify for the second year in a row is pretty cool in both events," Gauff told the press.
"I don't know if that many pairs of players have done that. So I'm really happy just to be here and also play with Jess, who I consider a friend on and off the court," she added.
