Kazakhstan’s tennis star Elena Rybakina has stated that she does not care about which court she will be playing on in the Australian Open 2024.
The first Grand Slam of the year will begin in less than 10 days’ time where players from all over the world will showcase their talent at the highest level and fight to win the ultimate prize.
Rybakina will be playing her first-round fixture on court 13, a court which is designated for players who cemented their place in the main draw through the qualifying round. Rybakina was recently quoted in a report where she stated that she does not care about the court where she will be playing her first-round encounter.
"By now I don't really care on which court I'm going to play," she said. "I just try to focus on my game and go so far in the tournament that I'm going to be playing always on centre court. Well, I hope I'm going to start on the big court this year. Of course, before I was a bit upset why I'm playing on that court, not on another one.”
Rybakina had an impressive outing last time around where she finished as the runner-up after losing to the current world number two Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka with a score of 4–6, 6–3, 6–4.
