Since Wimbledon, Iga Swiatek has been on another planet. Winning the title at SW19, along with victory in the Cincinnati Open and, most recently, the Korea Open. In an interview with the Tennis Channel, she ranks her top five matches from 2025.

Fifth - Madrid quarter-final

In at fifth is her Madrid Open quarter-final triumph over Australian Open champion Madison Keys. The American had recently produced a comeback win over Swiatek in the semi-final at Melbourne. This was still fresh in Swiatek's head, as she produced a memorable comeback to win 0-6, 6-3, 6-2.
When asked where she would rank the match, Swiatek said: "I’ll put that one at number five. That doesn’t happen often—me losing a set like that. I was happy I didn’t panic. I problem-solved, changed the way the match looked. When you lose 6–0, you’re definitely doing a lot wrong and your opponent has the momentum. The first set was so fast—I was like, “What just happened?” But I put a lot of grit into that win, so it deserves a place."

Fourth - Wimbledon semi-final

The first of two Wimbledon matchups places fourth on this list. The match in question is the semi-final win over Belinda Bencic, who herself had a fantastic tournament. She could do nothing about the Pole, who swept her aside 6-2, 6-0.
"Playing Belinda on grass is always hard—I experienced that already in 2023," Swiatek said. "Winning this one with that score, and feeling so confident on grass, was kind of a dream come true. I honestly wasn’t expecting that at the start of the grass season. It confirmed I was on the right path. I stayed focused from start to finish, with no changes in momentum—just going for it. I’m really proud of that."

Third - United Cup semi-final

We have to traverse right back to the start of the year to see her third best match. This was in a 7-6(5), 6-4 victory over former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina. It was an incredibly tight match, but the six-time Grand Slam champion had just enough to fend off the Kazakhstani.
"The United Cup semi-final against Elena," she said. "I think this was one of the best matches I played this year. It was one of the first matches with Wim coaching me—he was also on the bench at the United Cup—so I was constantly in touch with him and he helped me a lot. I was really happy with that performance. I felt I used all the skills I had worked on during the pre-season. It was a great way to begin the year."

Second - Roland Garros fourth-round

Perhaps surprisingly, her second inclusion is her fourth-round Roland Garros win over Rybakina. The pair have played each other four times this year, and Swiatek has gotten the better of her rival each time. In this match, the 24-year-old fell behind early, losing the first set 6-1. However, she mounted an impressive comeback, winning the next two sets 6-3, 7-5. She cited all the speculation and drama surrounding the match as her reason for putting it so high.
"The Roland Garros fourth round against Elena again. Because of all the drama and how much people were talking about that match, I’m putting it at number two. It’s not easy to win from that kind of score. Elena was playing great. I changed some tactical stuff during the match to shift the momentum, and I think that was pretty smart—but probably a bit too late. Maybe I could have avoided that scoreline. Still, it was high intensity and really tough, so I’m happy I won."

First - Wimbledon final

To the shock of absolutely nobody, her incredible 6-0, 6-0 victory over Amanda Anisimova to clinch her first Wimbledon title tops the list. She routed her American opponent, leaving her helpless at times with some unstoppable tennis.
"Obviously the Wimbledon final. I think it was the best match I’ve ever played on grass. The way I handled the pressure—I was really stressed before the final, and also waiting the whole day before for that last match. But I came on court with a clear vision of what I wanted to do and how I wanted to finish the tournament. I used all the experience from past matches, made it work, and I’m so proud I won Wimbledon."
