Iga Swiatek continued her march towards the
Roland Garros trophy by beating
Daria Kasatkina 6-2 6-1 in 66 minutes of play.
Kasatkina believed herself capable of winning this match admitting that she won't be swept off the court again but it did not go that way. Swiatek once again proved too strong for her opponent easing her way into the final in just 66 minutes of play. Swiatek jumped out to an early lead with a break but Kasatkina got it back immediately.
That was all she was able to do as Swiatek found her groove and completely outplayed her opponent down the stretch. No matter what Kasatkina tried there was nothing that worked as Swiatek was ready for everything. She had 22 winners and 13 unforced errors. Kasatkina had 10 winners and 24 unforced errors and that was not good enough to get the tin.
