"I'll definitely be back" - Kerber confirms return after giving birth

Angelique Kerber is currently out of action as the German is expecting her first child however she will return after giving birth.

Kerber announced her absence from the US Open by confirming what has been rumoured for a while. She is pregnant and expecting her first child and she announced it by explaining that it would not be fair to play two-on-one.

In a recent interview she did for Eurosport, Kerber admitted that she would return to tennis and that she is not stopping altogether. Her intent is to do it as soon it's possible but it's unlikely that happens before maybe March of 2023.
