The BNP Paribas Open Indian Wells Quarter-Finals continue to take shape and for Angelique Kerber, she is successfully through to face Paula Badosa on Thursday.
With one eye this week on the WTA finals, the former World Number One breezed past Ajla Tomljanovic 6-4, 6-1 in the desert heat to book her spot.
This with 63% of first serve and 57% of second serve points won in the match saving 4/5 break point opportunity with Tomljanovic saving 8/13 but only converting 1/5, this compared to 5/13 from Kerber who won in just under an hour and a half.
After a barren spell in her career, Kerber has continued her remarkable comeback with 20 wins in the last 24 matches only losing to unstoppable forces in Barty twice, Fernandez at the US Open and Teichman's run at Ostrava.
Can anyone stop the 2019 runner-up this week from continuing that streak as she also like alluded to aims to qualify for the WTA Finals?
