Two-time Wimbledon champion, Petra Kvitova knows all too well about receiving Centre Court billing but frustrations have been shared about Wimbledon scheduling amid the 87 matches on Wild Wednesday.
The 87 matches that still weren't fully completed with some opening Thursday's action.
While the weather in this instance cannot be helped, play of course still happened on Centre Court and Court One, but to Kvitova and other WTA players frustrations she revealed, the likes of Daria Kasatkina and Iga Swiatek are already through to Round Three.
They will now have days apart between games while the schedule catches up with Swiatek in particular being on a show court throughout the tournament so far.
Kvitova called it 'depressing' and 'annoying' and believes the solution to the puzzling situation is putting the Round One matches as priority on top courts.
"We talked in the locker room. We don’t get it. Kasatkina & Swiatek are in round three & some haven’t finished round one. They should put round one. players on Centre Court. It’s depressing to wait 2 days to play. It can happen at Wimbledon, but it’s annoying," said Kvitova.
