Pegula achieved another victory in the doubles draw at the
Australian Open, against the pairing formed
by the Chinese Xinyu Wang and Japanese Moyuka Uchijima.
The Americans were far
superior to the Asians, needing only two sets to secure their place in the
third round.
The Americans broke their rivals six times and only dropped three of their service games. They show a first serve of 58 percent and won the 61%. By the other hand, they rivals had 66% with first serve, but just winning 35% of them.
The final score was 7-5, 6-1 to the second
seeds, and now they’ll face the 16th seed doubles partners: the Poland Aldila
Sutjiadi and the Japanese Miyu Kato
