Krejcikova returns to top 20 after brilliant week in Dubai, Kontaveit drops out of top 50 in updated WTA Rankings

Barbora Krejcikova took down the number one player in the world Swiatek in Dubai and earned herself a place in the top 20 by doing so with a 14-spot jump.

It was a wonderful event in Dubai with Swiatek and Krejcikova smashing players en route to the final. It was a good final with Krejcikova winning and improving her ranking position by 14 points. Swiatek didn't suffer too much as she's still at number one and has a lead over Sabalenka of 4000 points. Pegula is 3rd, Jabeur 4th and Garcia 5th.

The rest of the top 10 is Gauff at 6, Sakkari at 7, Kasatkina at 8, Bencic at 9 and Rybakina at 10. One of the players who struggled a lot in the past is Kontaveit who didn't even play in this event. She had the biggest drop with 34 spots as she's now ranked 61st. She was number two just a year ago which shows the kind of drop she had.

Karolina Muchova who was ranked highly last year too returned to the top 100 with a rise of 35 spots to number 77. Check out the full rankings below.
