Mirra Andreeva spoke post match after losing to Madison Keys about her parents controlling her finances, but £6,190 of that prize money will not be heading the way of the 16-year-old Russian.
Andreeva's fines for unsportsmanlike conduct were confirmed after she exited
Wimbledon on Monday afternoon.
She threw her racquet to the ground in the second set and in a moment which caused heavy debate, she slipped and the racquet fell out of her hand.
The umpire deemed it to be that Andreeva smashed the racquet. She pleaded but was given a point penalty and Keys went on to win shortly after.
Albeit not a huge dent in Andreeva's winnings from her two Grand Slams, it has now been confirmed the extent of what she will lose.
Lessons to learn perhaps for the rising star.
