Naomi Osaka overcame quite a few issues in her Miami Open semifinal matchup against Belinda Bencic coming back to win 4-6 6-4 6-4.
Belinda Bencic opened the match quite flat which is why the final score of the first set was a bit of a surprise. After saving a couple of break points in her first service game Bencic started playing much better. It was Osaka who started struggling and the Swiss player pulled ahead with 4-1. It was a double break lead that Osaka reduced to one break but ultimately Bencic won it with 6-4.
The 2nd set opened with Osaka breaking Bencic early on to take a 2-0 lead. The Swiss player got it back after some heavy battling on the court but Osaka once again established her dominance with a 4-2 lead. From there Osaka cruised playing very confident tennis without any doubt which was good enough to win the set with 6-4.
The 3rd set was where Osaka completely unleashed her tennis and Bencic was left without a chance. The downfall for Bencic was her serve which got progressively worse as the match went on. The only set where she served okayish was the first one and she was able to win that. Osaka mainly dominated on Bencic's 2nd serve and that proved crucial for the win.
