The Palermo Ladies Open will be the first tournament played after the WTA Tour suspension and we know how much can players earn on prize money and points.

Since Elina Svitolina triumphed in Monterrey and Sofia Kenin lifted the trophy in Lyon, players from the WTA circuit were not allowed to compete due to the WTA Tour suspension. Now, they are eager to step on the tennis court once again after the WTA Tour suspension. The Palermo Ladies Open that will be played from 3rd - 9th August 2020 in Italy will offer players the first opportunity to earn some points and prize money after more than 5 months.
The player field is very strong for this tournament. The Palermo Ladies Open was usually visited by just a few players from the Top 20 of the WTA Rankings. This year, 11 members of Top 30 will compete at the tournament and world no. 25, Dayana Yastremska won't be even seeded as she's the 9th player on the list.
After months without any income, the prize money will be one of the main focuses for some of the players. The Palermo Ladies Open is one of the smaller WTA events, however, it still offers players some nice rewards for competing. The champion will go home with more than 20,000€ while the finalist will take more than 11,000€. Also, a lot of points are in play as you can take a look at full distribution below.
