Petkovic sees off Svitolina in straight sets to claim third place in latest Bett1 Aces tournament

Andrea Petkovic has claimed a scalp in the form of World Number 5, Elina Svitolina to finish third in the hard court tournament in Bett1 Aces on home soil.
Svitolina has had a hit and miss return to action losing two out of three games in Switzerland before returning to win the first Bett1 Aces on grass which ended on the hard court against Petra Kvitova.
During that, she defeated Anastasija Sevastova but lost out yesterday and now she will face Kvitova in the final shortly. This meant a third place contest with Petkovic.
The Ukrainian lost the first five games and then pulled it back but narrowly lost the first set but took the next set to a tie break which the German breezed through 7-1 to claim it 6-4, 7-6 (7-1).
