Mischa Zverev has completed a shock win over World No.12 Roberto Bautista-Agut in straight sets to claim third place in the latest bett1 Aces tournament on the hard court.
Zverev wasn't initially in the match with the World No.257 replacing Tommy Haas after he pulled out with a calf injury earlier today but he proved an adequate replacement claiming a 6-4, 6-3 victory.
In the first set, Zverev took a break to make it 2-1 and from there held serve to make it 6-4. It was a similar story next up with an early break of serve making it 3-2 and taking control from there at 4-2.
In the final game, he broke serve again to claim it making it 3/6 of break points converted overall throughout the tie. As total points won showed with 46% compared to 54%, it was closer than the scoreline dictated but Zverev did the right things at the right moments to win through.
