The annual
WTA Finals are on going in Cancun, Mexico from October 29-November 5, 2023, with the best players on tour competing for the season-ending title.
Although the season still has a few weeks left before it's conclusion, the field for the
WTA Finals is set for Cancun as all eight singles players have qualified for the elite event. The tournament will feature a group, round-robin format, before two players from each group will advance to the semifinals and then the championship match.
Swiatek and Pegula already more than 500,000$
Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia played some of the best tennis of her career towards the end of the 2022 season, enabling her to qualify for and win the event. However, the 29-year old failed to earn a spot at this year's tournament, with the likes of
Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff securing their spots.
