Dive into Swiatek's journey towards the clay courts of 2024 Olympics

After having a dominant 2023 season, Iga Swiatek already has preparation plans for 2024, which includes the Paris Olympic Games, according to her coach, Tomasz Wiktorowski.

The 2024 season will be a bit more strenuous for the WTA players, with the Olympics added to the schedule. This will force players to modify their prep and training schedules, as the tennis event at the Olympic Games will be played on clay.

In a recent interview, Wiktorowski admitted Swiatek had already included training for Paris in her schedule, stating the World No.1 was making the Olympics a priority for next year.

"Yes," confirmed Wiktorowski when asked if Swiatek had begun preparations for the Olympics. "The Games are our priority and we start preparing for them in January or even in December."

The World No.1 will also be competing in the mixed doubles event, alongside ATP compatriot Hubert Hurkacz. The duo are already familiar with each other's games, having played together earlier in the year at the United Cup.

"Thinking not only about singles, but also about mixed doubles with Hubert Hurkacz, and this is a completely different discipline that we don't really have the opportunity to try during the year," added Wiktorowski.
