Further fan abuse was showcased on social media by
Linda Noskova after a surprising exit in the first round of the
Abu Dhabi Open for the Czech star who produced a shock win over Iga Swiatek at the 2024 Australian Open.
Perhaps expectations were bigger for Noskova as a result, but after coming through qualifying, she faced Sara Sorribes Tormo and the three setter went the way of the Spaniard 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Noskova though later took to her Instagram and shared a video with the caption: 'POV you lose a match'.
It was a myriad of abuse clipped up by the young Czech ace of some disturbing abuse received likely by those who had a bet on her to win. "Rot in hell, b***h," one message read.
It is not the first time that Noskova has received such abuse with the Toray Pan Pacific Open seeing her share the abuse she received after losing to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the second round. "Kill yourself, you dumb f***ing b***h end your f***ing life. Nice job dumb f***ing b***h, 20 game points and you lose the game, get cancer and die b***h," the fan wrote. It shows a side to playing top flight sport that is very prevalent and the sheer horrific nature of some of the messages received.
