Having already captured an astounding 23 Grand Slam singles titles, Serena Williams is hoping to claim a record 24th at this year's Wimbledon Championships.
However, the sixth seed will not have an easy path as most competitors often produce their best when playing the WTA legend. Furthermore, the 39-year old has shown instances of declining fitness, accompanied with some mental lapses that have made her look vulnerable during this later stage of her career.
Regardless of whom she faces, the seven-time Wimbledon champion is still a favorite and will have to defeat all her opponents to lift the trophy once more.
Round 1: Aliaksandra Sasnovich
Round 2: Bernarda Pera
Round 3: Angelique Kerber(25) - The 2018 Wimbledon champion has been in great form during the grass court season, reaching the final at the Bad Homburg Open.
Round 4: Belinda Bencic(9)/Coco Gauff(20) - Either woman would be a tough adversary, with Gauff eager to take on her compatriot on the grandest stage.
Quarterfinal: Elina Svitolina(3)/Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova(16) - Both are former quarterfinalists, with Svitolina reaching the semifinals in 2019.
Semifinal: Ashleigh Barty(1) - Not much needs to be said about the World No.1, who is always a dangerous opponent regardless of the surface.
Final: Aryna Sabalenka(2) - The big-hitting Belarusian has the power to match Williams, and is seeded second at the event, her highest ever at Wimbledon.
