Schedule of Play: Online battles to kick-off on Day 1 at Virtual Madrid Open

The players are divided into 4 groups, which promise a lot of interesting battles. We can see players like Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray playing in the same group. The first matches of the 2020 Virtual Madrid Open will start on Monday at 15:00 and now we also know the schedule of play.

Diego Schwartzman and David Ferrer will be the first 2 players to virtually step on the court. The match will be followed by a WTA match between Carla Suarez Navarro and Belinda Bencic. Rafael Nadal will face Denis Shapovalov in the 3rd match and Karolina Pliskova will take on Fiona Ferro in the 4th.

The evening will also include a couple of charity matches. In the first, Rafael Nadal will take on DjMariio in the fifth match of the evening. Another charity match will be played as the last match of the evening. Francis Tiafoe will meet Borja Iglesias to help in raising funds for those affected by the Coronavirus.
