Serena Williams' former coach Rennae Stubbs picks Elena Rybakina as Wimbledon favourite, sees Muchova as threat

Rybakina as the favorite for Wimbledon and highlighted Muchova as a threat.
Both
Muchova and Rybakina have a winning record of over 70% in their Wimbledon
matches. Rybakina, the current champion, boasts an impressive 10-1 record at
the tournament. Meanwhile, Muchova is currently experiencing the best moment of
her career after reaching the final of the 2023 French Open, and she already
has two quarterfinal appearances at Wimbledon, which she hopes to improve upon
this year.

opinion on what to expect in the women's side of Wimbledon:
"Wimbledon
is gonna be great. I think Elena Rybakina is the favorite there in my opinion
and Aryna Sabalenka," she said.
"I
think they're the two probably best players on grass."
"So I
think Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalanka and Elena Rybakina, those three are the
three," she continued. "And I really think that Karolina Muchova, if
she stays healthy, I think she is a real threat at Wimbledon," Stubbs added.
"If
Ons Jabuer finds her form, you know look it was a bit of a disaster the way she
lost her match at the French Open."
"But I
think given the fact that she's had a lot of injuries this year, I think she'll
feel really good about going on the grass because she will have had enough tennis
under her belt and we all know how great she is on the grass and nobody wants
to play around the surface," she concluded.

- Having spent weeks and weeks through the years on tour, I can say with confidence that Conchita was (is) one of the very few who realize the surprising level of maturity (and sometimes lack of) which Mirra seems to have developed in such a demanding adult world of Pro-Tennis. While at the same time reminding herself (Conchita, that is) that Mirra is still young and developing mentally and physically. The general public may forget at times, or not at all realize, these modern era young athletes do not have a 'normal' Youth. It's a major sacrifice, among countless sacrifices, these athletes must make.
