Setback for Jennifer Brady, withdraws ahead of French Open with new foot injury after close to two years out

Jennifer Brady was all set to play at the French Open next week but has since withdrawn on Wednesday, it has been confirmed by journalist, Christopher Clarey.
Brady has struggled with injuries and has not played since 2021 but was all set to return only for a new foot injury to scupper those plans.

The American has not entered into Wimbledon so seemingly hinged her hopes on a return on the clay courts, but the likely next step is the US Open if the injury is not serious.
But instead it is a further setback for the former Australian Open finalist.
